Park Ranthambore

Hunting for tigers

In the morning we set out for Park Ranthambore where we wanted to see tigers. It turned out that the park is quite far away. Going there by taxi took us a good few hours. When we arrived, we went to the restaurant, where we hastily ate something, then we hurried to be on time for safari. Unfortunately we drew the worst road - No. 1 The best roads are those near the lake, because during the dry period the tigers usually go there.

We were not able to see tigers, however, the views were breath taking anyway. Overgrown, beautiful banyan trees, white ghost-trees growing from height from the thickets, owls, lizards and ubiquitous sambar deer. "Common" parrots flew over our heads, almost tamed monkeys allowed us to come quite close, we could spot even a coyote.

After a three-hour stay in this Indian jungle, tired we got to our taxi and we went back to Jaipur, to our beloved little hotel.
