Return

Flight to Helsinki and from Helsinki to Warsaw, last adventures and luxury Marriott Hotel in Warsaw.

My month in India comes to an end. I can not believe the whole month is almost over. I do not want to leave. I fell completely in love with India. And in addition, today is the Holi festival, and no one has thrown colors on me :(

We woke up early in the morning and packed quickly our suitcases. We didn't have even enough time to eat breakfast, but instead we rushed into a taxi to the airport.

I was very much surprised, that there are so few souvenir shops and restaurants at the airport in Delhi . I had always seen that Indian people cared that there is plenty of food to sell and buy and also souvenirs and tinsels or such things. But the airport is empty. Probably for security reasons too many shops are not allowed there.

Our luggage and we personally were all carefully scanned. However, my concerns about excess baggage charges were unnecessary, because it seemed nobody paid any attention at an exact weight of our suitcases when we were booking
(I had only 2 kg above the limit, and I saw that someone had even 8 kg overweight).

The flight has passed without any problems, I watched 4 movies, just a pity that there were so few Indian movies (only Wanted with Salman Khan - but how many times one can watch it?).

In Helsinki we ate lunch, and then my mom had her flight to Berlin, hence there was a tearful farewell. The next part of the journey was therefore a bit more sad ....

In Warsaw, I stayed at Marriott hotel, :) ... It was an idea of my mom, so that I can take some rest. And I was very curious how it is there, of course. The room was a little bit snobbish, but cool ... but frankly it is not much different from the room in the Radisson or Holiday Inn or in an Ibis hotel. But I have to admit: there was a bathtub, not only a shower, and the bed was very comfortable, it had two mattresses, I think, and also the view !...... Especially the sunrise looks very impressive ... One can change one's mind about Warsaw. From this height, the city at this time seems to be of a golden color, very quiet and orderly, just black colossal skyscrapers spoil the harmonious composition.
